Provides for continuity in decision making and consistency in nursing practice by assuring that nursing and hospital standards and objectives are met. Acts as a resource and support person for the nursing staff.&nbsp; Represents administration during any event occurring their absence.&nbsp; Embraces and demands a culture of professionalism and accountability<b>.</b> Responsible for fostering a positive milieu. Keeps CCO and CEO apprised of situations that may place facility at risk. Provides direct patient care as required based on staffing and patient acuity.
